Five Superstitions

Number 4 means death in Korea so when we indicate fourth floor on lift
we use 'F' instead of 4.

No blessing for someone who eat a meal with an unmatched pair of chopsticks.

Do not step on the threshold.

If someone cut his nails at night, he lose his soul.

If some one write his name in red, he die young.

Through the research of superstition, what I found was a lots of superstitions are deeply related to cultural aspects and the language that people use. For instance, the pronunciation of number four is the same with the word 'dead' in Korea. Therefore, in order to indicate 4th floor in a lift letter 'F' is in use instead of Arabic number 4.
